Stegomon appeared in 2005 Digimon Reference Book. Stegomon is a Dinosaur Digimon whose name and design are derived from the Stegosaurus (Stegosaurus stenops). It armor-digivolved due to the "Digi-Egg of Friendship". It has countless blades on its back. These blades are for performing counterattacks while at the same time for defending itself from the enemy's attacks, and are able to move in the desired direction at Stegomon's volition. Also, it sometimes performs attacks with the spikes on its tail, but it basically gets attacked by the enemy, and it is said that it mostly repels them with its blades.
