Gardess appeared in 1987 TV series called Choushinsei Flashman. Gardess is the fifth Deus Beast Warrior, mutated from Sir Cowler's partner Bo Gardan after he is abducted by Leh Näfel, who had survived her previous battle and whose loyalty remained with Great Doctor Lie Köpflen. A powerful Beast Warrior, this mutation finally drove Sir Cowler into dealing with Mess personally; using a new Gene Synthesizer built by Doctor Tokimura and played by an abducted Sara, Cowler temporarily restored Gardan to his human form while disrupting Lah Deus long enough to appear to take him down in revenge. In the midst of his final showdown with the Flashman, Gardan keeps switching back and forth into his Beast Warrior form until being trapped in it with Cowler's final defeat. The Flashman destroy him with Rolling Vulcan, then with Flash King.
