The Boxer Monger appeared in 1981 TV series called Taiyo Sentai Sun Vulcan. Boxer Monger (ボクサーモンガー Bokusa Mongā, 45) is a boxing-theme Monger of Machine Empire Black Magma. Boxer Monger was already created and working as part of a battle squadron with Amazon Killer and the Zero Girls when Inazuma Ginga first arrives on Earth. During the initial intrusion by the space outlaw, Boxing Monger claims he can fight him, but is held back due to the fears of the power that is possessed by this great power. As matters with Inazuma Ginga is cleared up, Boxer Monger ultimately ends up facing Sun Vulcan with a squad of fighting Machinemen, but ultimately becomes the first Monger to be destroyed by the team's New Vulcan Ball. After its Expansion Program activates, it is destroyed by Sun Vulcan Robo.
